The former wine of low quality were developped to
selected wines that connaisseurs apprecaite. You can find the following
grape varieties that remind of red berries and southern herbs: Grenache, Merlot, Cabernet, Cabernet-Sauvignon,
Cabernet-Franc, Syrah, Chardonnay, Clairette, Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Mauzac, Pinot Noir
and Viognier. They accompany the typical regional meals very well.
Maison Iris is in the Malepère area which has been
given the AOC (appellation d'origine contrôlée) title since 2006. |
